Auditioning
We are looking for students with the passion for their chosen subject and each subject has its own ways of assessing this.
All students are auditioned to ensure a similar skill level upon entry. This means that you will receive the most focused tuition available which will speed up your progression to achieve your goals.
We aim to make as comfortable as possible for you to show us your best potential. Don't forget that auditioning is also a chance for you to assess us and the learning environment. We will be working together for 3 years so it is important that you choose the place that feels right for you!
Many students decide to join us based on their audition with us, which they say is one of the most friendly places you will experience.
All of our auditions are free to encourage people from all background to apply. We are committed to fair and inclusive training and we strive to ensure the rich diversity within our society is represented in drama school training.

The Audition Process
Our courses all require to audition in person. This is because we will often work with you to get the best out of you at audition, which is difficult to do with a self-tape.*
Some auditions, due to the high number of applications on the programme, require two rounds of auditions. The second round of these is usually at the end of March/Easter holidays.
*at the discretion of the course leader self-tapes may be accepted for first round auditions.
Audition Material
Our courses follow the typical pattern of drama school auditions. You will receive more detailed information upon application. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact UCEN Admission on: ucenadmissions@ucenmancester.ac.uk
